Due to their poor form, Platinum Stars coach Cavin Johnson admits to Goal that they are not comfortable with their current position on the PSL log.
“The situation we are in is not comfortable. I think any team anywhere in the world if you are in that position, you are not happy,” Johnson told Goal.
“But at the same time if you are in that position and you play the type of football that we are playing then you realize that something is going to turn and hopefully, it will turn this weekend when we play Bloemfontein Celtic,” he expressed.
Dikwena are two points above the relegation zone. Therefore, they need to grab all three points against Celtic on Saturday and move off the quagmire.
“There's no relegation on our minds. As a club we never think of relegation. We know we have to fight hard. We know we have to put in the shift and we know the way we are playing football it is going to turn for us and we are going to turn it,” Johnson said.
“For sure, if you look at how we played against Sundowns in the second half, we created numerous chances and should have won. It’s how we have played throughout the season.
“So the hunger to play better football is there. The boys want to play better, all we have to do is score the goals and we will be ok,” Johnson concluded.
Stars will welcome back striker Henrico Botes from suspension ahead of their trip to the Free State after he missed the Downs clash on Tuesday.
