The young Canadians kick off their tournament on Oct. 19 vs. Austria in the United Arab Emirates.
The draw for the bienniel event took place on Monday in the United Arab Emirates, which will host the tournament in October.
The Canadians were placed into Group E and will open their tournament with a match against Austria in Dubai's Rashid Stadium on Oct. 19. They will then face the Iranians three days later at the same venue before wrapping up their group stage against arguably the top team in Group E -- Argentina -- on Oct. 25.
Canada qualified for the competition after placing third at last April's CONCACAF U-17 Championship in Panama. The 2013 edition is the second consecutive U-17 World Cup for which Canada has qualified.
