Columbus has officially been awarded a National Women's Soccer League expansion team. The announcement came Tuesday at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field, confirming that Columbus, Ohio, will become the league's 18th franchise. The club is set to begin play in spring 2028 alongside fellow expansion side Atlanta.
