Barcelona have been handed a significant injury scare following their dominant Champions League display against Aston Villa on Tuesday night. Midfield general Rodri was forced off early, leaving Hansi Flick facing a nervous wait ahead of a crucial domestic showdown with Atletico Madrid this weekend.

Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has tipped Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal to reach the legendary heights of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo over the coming decade. The 19-year-old Spain international has enjoyed a prolific start to the season, registering 13 goals and 11 assists across all competitions for the Catalan giants.

Unai Emery has warned his Aston Villa players that they must demand more from themselves after their unbeaten start to the Champions League campaign was ruthlessly ended by Barcelona. A Lamine Yamal opener followed by a Raphinha brace condemned the Premier League side to a 3-0 defeat in Catalonia.

Lamine Yamal continues to rewrite the history books, becoming the highest-scoring teenager in Champions League history following his latest strike against Aston Villa. The Barcelona sensation has officially surpassed a prestigious European record previously held by Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe.
