What a conclusion to this Coppa Italia semi-final first leg! After a sedate first 82 minutes, Juventus took the lead in typical style and seemed set for victory in front of their own fans, but Bremer's aberration and Lukaku's spot-kick snatched parity for Inter ahead of the second leg. Then, all hell broke loose as the goalscorer and his captain were dismissed at the end - followed by Cuadrado. There's sure to be bad blood spilling over into round two at San Siro later this month!

Though Juve have beaten them in both Serie A contests this season, Inter have won when it really matters in the Derby d'Italia of late: they have snatched both a Supercoppa and last year's Coppa Italia final from their old rivals. Can they now take a lead back to Milan for the second leg of this semi?

Perhaps predictably, the first half of this opening leg has been largely cautious and ends with neither team having found the net. Though there were a handful of openings for both sides, each goalkeeper has had only one major save to make. Inter have bossed the ball but lacked sharpness in the final third, while Juventus remain reluctant to throw bodies forward and have rarely sustained a threat.

45' Bremer dives in with a late block to deny Dimarco a clear shot from near the left byline, conceding a corner. From the resulting set-piece, D'Ambrosio heads over the bar from close range.

43' First, Vlahovic can't reach a cross by Kostic from the left, then Cuadrado fails to break through on the right, as Juventus search hopefully for a goal before half-time.

28' Near the penalty spot, Acerbi nods away Di Maria's inswinging free-kick and Juve's latest attack ultimately peters out. They can't quite build up a head of steam here.

26' Juventus are again pushing a few yards further up the pitch, and they twice draw fouls to earn free-kicks in the Inter half - can they actually make Handanovic work again, though?

24' Dzeko drops his shoulder and ambles in from the right flank, but then his 20-yard shot scuttles along harmlessly into the waiting gloves of Perin, situated in the centre of Juve's goal.

22' Bastoni makes a vital intervention near his own goal-line, as he flicks the ball away for a corner with Danilo desperately trying to turn it in at the back post.

21' Now it's Inter's turn to drop back and absorb some gentle pressure from their opponents, and this first leg is unsurprisingly shaping up to be a tightly-contested affair.

19' Chopping inside, Dzeko wrong-foots Rabiot and earns his side a free-kick around 30 yards out from goal. Dimarco takes a pop, but Perin is easily equal to it and gathers the ball at his second attempt.

17' Inter are now enjoying a little more of both ball and territory, and the home side sink back into their familiar defensive shape under conservative coach Max Allegri.

15' While Inter have just lost three successive Serie A games for the first time in six years, before today's contest Juventus had won eight of their last nine in all competitions - including the most recent Derby d'Italia.

13' A rather rash challenge by Dimarco, just back from injury for Inter, gifts Juve a free-kick 40 yards out from goal. Cuadrado delivers it into the box, but the visitors' defence clears the ball without too much trouble.

11' Rising highest near the penalty spot, Martinez connects with a header from Bastoni's left-wing cross but can only send it looping over the crossbar as Perin watches on.

10' D'Ambrosio does not clear his lines properly, gifting the ball back to Juventus, and Danilo takes the invitation to shoot from the left side of the area. However, his ambitious attempt is blazed well over the top.

8' Attempting to take the sting out of the game, Inter are keeping the ball inside their own half and certainly in no hurry to push forward in numbers. Then, almost by default, a cross from deep on the right is missed by a wild swing from Martinez on the edge of the box.

6' Ending a short spell of Juventus pressure, Locatelli lets fly with a 20-yard effort which spirals far over the crossbar and into the packed stands behind Inter's goal.

4' SAVE! Locatelli steals the ball in central midfield and sends Di Maria away on the counter, and after the playmaker shakes off Bastoni he shoots towards the bottom-left corner. Handanovic dives low to tip the ball behind for a corner!

3' After Darmian sees a cutback from the right byline blocked behind, Dimarco sends over an inswinging corner which Juve manage to clear at the second attempt.

For Inter, Dzeko and Martinez return in tandem up front, as Lukaku and Correa failed to spark on Saturday. Though Hakan Calhanoglu and Milan Skriniar both remain injured, Federico Dimarco returns on the left flank, so Gosens is relegated to the bench. Club captain Handanovic replaces Onana in goal, while D'Ambrosio is back between a two-match Serie A ban for seeing red against Juventus last month.

After Kean scored the winner while partnering Milik at the weekend, today Di Maria supports Vlahovic up front for Juventus, who also bring Rabiot back into the starting XI. Meanwhile, in goal, cup keeper Perin replaces Szczesny. Paul Pogba and Leonardo Bonucci are still out injured, while Chiesa's ongoing fitness troubles see him consigned to the bench.

Ahead of the latest Derby d'Italia, inconsistent Inter have continued to falter, and Simone Inzaghi's side suffered their 10th league defeat of the season on Saturday. Beaten 1-0 by Serie A's form side Fiorentina, they are now hanging on to a top four place, with Juventus among the clubs pursuing them. For all their failures, the Nerazzurri can still salvage some silverware from a difficult campaign, as not only are they still standing in the Champions League but they could yet reach next month's Coppa Italia final in Rome, where either Fiorentina or Cremonese will await.

Having sealed a Serie A double over Inter last month at San Siro, Juventus lock horns with their old rivals again today, this time at home in Turin. The Bianconeri have just won five straight games after Saturday's defeat of Verona, closing their deficit to Inter down to six points. Now meeting for the third time this season, these giants of Calcio contest a two-legged Coppa Italia semi-final tie in a repeat of last year's final, which the Milan club won after extra time. Nonetheless, Juve have lifted the trophy 14 times before - a national record and six more than their second-city counterparts.
