Monnapule Saleng started the season with Orlando Pirates quite well.

In the 13 games he featured across all competitions for the Soweto giants, the 27-year-old Bafana Bafana international scored five goals and assisted once.

However, due to yet-to-be-confirmed reasons, Saleng has not been playing for the Buccaneers.

As a matter of fact, the last game he played for the Sea Robbers was on December 7 in the Caf Champions League Group C game against Al Ahly at the FNB Stadium.

Fans have been calling for the management to solve the issue with Saleng since he is a quality player who can improve Jose Riveiro's team regardless of the competition or opposition.

It seems their calls have worked.

Saleng has been training with the reserve team, but it seems he has been reinstated to the senior team and re-joined his teammates.

On Tuesday, Pirates will be playing MC Alger in the Caf Champions League quarter-final.

It will be vital to have Saleng in the fold, owing to his quality in the final third.

The Soweto giants are also in the Nedbank Cup quarter-final and are in the race for the Premier Soccer League title.
