Shame! Watch players, fans & officials fighting after Orlando Pirates and MC Alger's Caf Champions League quarter-final game

Orlando Pirates hosted MC Alger in the second leg of the Caf Champions League quarter-final staged at the Orlando Stadium.

The game ended goalless and Bucs advanced in a 1-0 aggregate win to set a semi-final date with Pyramids.

However, it was not smooth to the end as ugly scenes were witnessed involving players, a section of fans and officials.

A couple of days ago, hooliganism incidents were witnessed at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium after the game between Mamelodi Sundowns and Esperance.

A fan almost lost his life owing to the same, and the Masandawana management promised to get the course and find a solution.

If the same happens again, some supporters might opt to stay away from the stadium which will not be good for the game.

It will also risk the lives of players, fans, and all officials involved.

Security should be improved by home teams to give the fans that feeling of safety. Sensitization should also be done aggressively by the responsible authorities.

It is interesting to see how Caf will deal with the Sundowns and Pirates incidents.
