The Red Dragons did not have to wait long for the opener as Joel Senior bundled the ball into his own net as early as the fifth minute to open the floodgates. Just two minutes later, Mullin got in on the act with a sublime first-time finish after being set up by Andy Cannon. Jacob Mendy scored the third in the 35th minute before Mullin banged in the next two goals after the hour mark to raise the roof at the Racecourse Ground. However, Phil Parkinson's men were not done yet as James Jones scored a late goal to finish the rout and climb into the second position in the league table.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Parkinson asked his players to ‘do better’ after a humbling 2-0 loss to Accrington Stanley which brought their 11-game unbeaten run to a grinding halt. And they have not disappointed their manager. Reynolds must have been furious after last weekend's result as Wrexham were locked in an intense off-the-pitch battle regarding a ticketing issue with Accrington which led chairman Andy Holt to take a sarcastic dig at the Deadpool actor after the defeat.
