Bayern Munich could block Malik Tillman's PSV transfer! How hidden clause gives Bundesliga giants power to prevent USMNT star making loan move permanent

According to Dutch newspaper Ed.nl, PSV are looking to activate the purchase clause on Tillman's contract, however, a potential roadblock may sit in the way. Bayern Munich have a unique clause in the loan deal that would allow them to cancel the permanent acquisition of their USMNT player, if they pay a small fee to the Dutch club.

Tillman has been one of the top performers for PSV this season, with five goals and three assists across 12 Eredivisie matches. In the Champions League, he registered one assist across 323 minutes as well, helping see the Dutch side through to the knockout round of the tournament. Per the report, the fee agreed upon at the beginning of the loan for Tillman was $15.3m (€14m).

USMNT teammates Sergino Dest and Ricardo Pepi also play at PSV, and with Tillman in the mix, is the only club across the world with three-different USMNT regulars in the first-team picture. Juventus and Milan both have two, with Weston McKennie and Tim Weah in Turin and Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah with the Rossoneri.

The Dutch side are back in action on Saturday, January 13 in Eredivisie action against Excelsior. Then, it's a return to cup action against FC Twente in the KNVB Cup on January 17.
