The 2025/26 South African top-flight season kicks off this weekend with four MTN8 matches.

Defending champions Orlando Pirates will be in action on Saturday against Polokwane City; the former finished second on the 2024/25 Premier Soccer League table, while their opponents came seventh.

After winning the last three editions, the Buccaneers hope to get their fourth, while coach Abdeslam Ouaddou will be chasing his first.

    The former will be up against his former team after joining the defending champions a couple of weeks ago.
