    WHAT HAPPENED?

    Monnapule Saleng has been at loggerheads with Orlando Pirates, reportedly over a salary dispute and a failed move to North Africa.

    This saw the winger skipping training sessions, but he has now been pictured working out with the rest of the squad as Pirates prepare for Sunday's Nedbank Cup semi-final showdown with Marumo Gallants.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    Saleng last featured in a competitive match for Pirates at the start of December 2024.

    He was, however, selected to play for Bafana Bafana in an African Nations Championship match in March.

    Pirates are still chasing glory in the Premier Soccer League, Caf Champions League and Nedbank Cup and Saleng could feature in those competitions.
