    WHAT HAPPENED?

Wandile Duba and Ashley du Preez were on target to help 10-man Kaizer Chiefs beat Richards Bay 2-1 at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday.

It was Amakhosi's third Premier Soccer League victory of the season in six games.

With some fans celebrating Chiefs' win, coach Nasreddine Nabi is quick to remind them his side is yet to reach the heights of previous Amakhosi teams.

    WHAT NABI SAID

“The process is not for one [match], it’s not because we win the process is done. No, no,” Nabi said on SuperSport TV.

“The objective or the level of Kaizer Chiefs is very, very high. I think yes mentally it’s good, some moments in the game is good. But without consistency and efficiency for the third goal we need more work.

“But the three points is very good for the club. Mentally it’s not easy to play the second half with 10 men. It feels good. But for the process [it’s not done]," the Tunisian added.

“This is Kaizer Chiefs. Remember Kaizer Chiefs before with Tshabalala, with Doctor Khumalo, this is a high level. Not like today.”

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

While Chiefs fans are celebrating Wednesday's victory, some might refuse to get carried away due to the experience of recent seasons.

In the difficult campaigns they have been enduring, Chiefs have struggled for consistency when it comes to winning.

They would record a victory in one or two games only to falter in others against lowly-placed teams.

    WHAT NEXT FOR AMAKHOSI?

Nabi and his men will have to prove that Wednesday's win was no fluke when they host Royal AM on Saturday.

Winning that match will boost them as they play catch-up with the leading pack of Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.
