WHAT CHIEFS PLAYERS PROMISED NABI BEFORE THE GAME

The Tunisian has further revealed the discussion he had with his players prior to the match with Stellies.

"Players promised me before the game that they will give me 200 percent for three points, for myself and for the supporters, I'm very happy about that.

"It's true that we didn't concede a lot of opportunities but credit goes to every player who was in the field, from the front line to the back.

"Everyone worked very hard, closed the spaces, tracked back, which made the work of the defenders a little bit easier."

“I’d like to say thank you to Dr. Kaizer Motaung, to Kaizer Jr., Bobby Motaung and the entire management," he explained.

“I have been offered an opportunity to go coach my country and we have sat together and we have decided that I’m going to pass this big opportunity to coach my country.

    WHAT NEXT?

Chiefs are still determined to challenge for the Premier Soccer League title this season despite their inconsistencies.

However, their realistic opportunity to end the decade-long drought is in the Nedbank Cup competition.

A win against Chippa United next weekend will seal their place in the quarter-final of the annual competition.
