    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    WHAT NEXT FOR SUNDOWNS?

Kaizer Chiefs haven’t beaten Sundowns since April 2021, when Gavin Hunt was in charge and with their inconsistency this season, this encounter at Lucas Moripe Stadium on March 1 promises excitement. Amakhosi have had a 10-day break since their last match, using the time for team-building ahead of the clash and with captain Yusuf Maart believing that this will help them overcome Masandawana.

Meanwhile, Sundowns have been dealing with a packed schedule, playing a game every four days. Coach Miguel Cardoso has voiced concerns about the demanding fixture list.

Despite the challenges, both sides will be eager to claim victory in this crucial showdown. Their upcoming match will be crucial, having already defeated them twice this season in the league and cup competition.
