    WHAT HAPPENED?

Kaizer Chiefs' reserve team recently defied the odds to win the DDC title, which is the first time they have achieved that.

Hungry youngsters gave their best to dethrone former champions Stellenbosch and set history for the 11-year competition.

That might have played a part in motivating the senior team to give their best and win the Nedbank Cup to end their trophy drought.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Galaxy are not new to signing youngsters from Chiefs.

The latest players they acquired were Puso Dithejane and Khulumane Ndamane, who have developed their careers there.

It is interesting to see how the Amakhosi management will counter that.
