    WHAT HAPPENED?

Julius Malema has expressed admiration for Orlando Pirates boss Dr. Irvin Khoza and Kaizer Chiefs chairman Kaizer Motaung and highlighted the similarities between the PSL and EFF.

Khoza has been at the helm of the Premier Soccer League since 2003, successfully securing lucrative sponsorships for the league, alongside Motaung.

Malema, the founder of the Economic Freedom Fighters, has shared insights on a conversation he had with Khoza and highlighted similarities between the PSL and his political party.

    WHAT MALEMA SAID

"Dr. Irvin Khoza, who has been around for quite a while once told me that he has never seen a well-organized political party like the Economic Freedom Fighters," Malema said on the EFF podcast

"He said the order he has seen in the Eff, he has never seen it anywhere and I think the reason why he said so, is he was just being modest about it because that's what the PSL is.

"He and Ntate Kaizer Motaung have professionalized football of black people. I have never in a few years of my life, seen a situation where they say a PSL game is starting at 15h00 and it starts at 15h01. No, at 15h00, they blow a whistle, whether the stadium is full or not, logistically, everything is in order because of him,'' he explained.

"Look at the 2010 Fifa World Cup, Khoza was the chair of the local organizing committee. Everything was done beautifully. We still have good memories and a legacy of that kind,'' added the highly rated politician.

"I have got so much respect for him for such things and I sometimes learn from him as to how certain things are done in such a way that they don't embarrass us."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Khoza, aged 76, secured another term as the chairman of the Premier Soccer League in the recent General National Soccer League elections held last Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Motaung, who recently celebrated his 80th birthday, retained his position in the executive committee alongside other six members, including Mato Madlala, Stanley Matthews, and Rejoice Simelane.

The new members stepping into the roles formerly held by John Comitis, David Thidiela, and Rob Benadie are Tim Sukazi, Johnny Mogaladi, and Jomo Biyela.
