    WHAT HAPPENED?

Kaizer Chiefs have been under pressure after failing to win their last three Premier Soccer League matches as well as their humiliating exit from the Carling Knockout.

That has sparked anger from sections of the Amakhosi fanbase who have been expressing their frustrations with the players.

But goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari is not too worried by the supporters' wrath and accepts that the scrutiny he is under is what you would expect when playing for a massive club struggling with poor results.

    WHAT NTWARI SAID

“It’s not a big deal. These things happen in football,” Ntwari told New Times.

“You can’t win every match, and sometimes fans don’t handle that well. But that’s the reality of the sport. I believe things will improve in the coming days.

“[My former club] TS Galaxy is a smaller team while Kaizer Chiefs is a much bigger club with a huge fan base. Fans here expect positive results in every game but football doesn't always work like that," he added.

"As players, we just need to keep pushing and giving our all to help the team perform better."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Chiefs's performances continue to agitate their fans who do not hesitate to vent their anger by invading the pitch or pelting players and staff with missiles.

They were charged by the league for spectator misbehaviour four times last season and this term they have already found themselves on the wrong side of the law twice.

If Ntwari and his defenders continue being porous and the club's results don't improve, more spectator unrest will follow.
