Will Erling Haaland join Real Madrid in 2024? Man City striker’s agent responds to renewed transfer talk

The prolific Norway international has only spent one full season at the Etihad Stadium. It was quite the campaign, with the 23-year-old frontman hitting 52 goals across all competitions as he helped City to a historic Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League treble.

There has been talk for some time of Haaland eventually ending up at Santiago Bernabeu, with Real renowned for their ‘Galacticos’ recruitment policy. It has been revealed in the past that the highly-rated forward has a release clause in his contract that will come into effect next summer.

Quizzed by El Chiringuito on whether Real Madrid will look to land Haaland in 2024, with “open door” admissions having been made when it comes to his future, Rafaela Pimenta has said: “The open door can mean a lot of things. Our players can have the feeling that they have their destiny in their hands.”

Haaland’s contract with City is due to run until 2027. He may not see out that agreement, though, and could end up heading to Spain. Real are also being heavily linked with Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe, meaning that another fearsome attacking unit could be pieced together by the Blancos.
