Danish striker signed for big money
Up and running after shaking off injury
Hoping to star for club he grew up supporting
WHAT HAPPENED?
The Red Devils appeared to be on course for at least a point heading into the closing stages of a dramatic encounter with Arsenal at Emirates Stadium. Alejandro Garnacho saw a breakaway effort ruled out for offside following a VAR review, but there was a late twist in the tale as Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus wrapped up a 3-1 win for the hosts in stoppage time.
Hojlund grew up as a United supporter – and a big fan of Cristiano Ronaldo – and is delighted to now be part of the long-term thinking at Old Trafford. He posted on Instagram after making his first appearance: “So proud to make my debut for @manchesterunited the dream became a reality. Unlucky with the result today… but we will bounce back after the international break.”
