    WHAT HAPPENED?

Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi ended their decade-long trophy drought by winning the Nedbank Cup.

However, they failed - for the second time in a row, to qualify for MTN8 after finishing ninth in the Premier Soccer League.

The Glamour Boys shared spoils with Polokwane City in their final game of the season.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Throughout the season, Nabi has been arguing that he doesn't have quality players to deliver with.

There has been a massive debate on whether the club should keep the former AS FAR Rabat coach or not.

In his recent interview, Nabi has told off his critics, claiming he has confidence that is needed to run Amakhosi.

    WHAT NABI SAID

“I’m not a small coach, I’m not happy for the Nedbank, I’m not a small coach, not in a small team, I’m in a big team," he told the media.

"It should be normal for Chiefs to play and win the Nedbank title, you understand me?

“I want every season, Chiefs need to play for the title. This is my objective, I am honest, I don’t need to defend myself; I know my quality, I have big confidence," he concluded.

    WHAT NEXT?

Chiefs have a decision to make about Nabi, but after helping the team qualify for Caf Confederation Cup by winning the Nedbank Cup, he might be given another chance.

However, they should be working hard to sign quality players to help the tactician challenge for top honours.
