    WHAT HAPPENED?

    Bafana Bafana's 23-man squad to take part in the 2025 Cosafa Cup has been named.

    Five Kaizer Chiefs players Bruce Bvuma, Aden McCarthy, Wandile Duba, Thab Cele and Mduduzi Shabalala have been selected, while Orlando Pirates have provided Boitumelo Radiopane.

    Chiefs reserve tea coach Vela Khumalo will be in charge of Bafana and he will be assisted by Reneilwe Letsholonyane, while Molefi Ntseki serves as the technical advisor.

    Bafana coach Hugo Broos will be watching the fringe national side players taking part in the Cosafa Cup.

    This is an opportunity for Amakhosi players to prove that they are national team material, the way their teammate Rushwin Dortley did at the last edition of the regional tournament.

    This comes as Broos has shown no faith in Chiefs players for tougher assignments.
