West Ham Team News: Injuries, suspensions and line-up vs Swansea City

West Ham travel to take on Swansea City this weekend in a game they simply dare not lose.

The two sides are separated by just three points in the Premier League, but Carlos Carvalhal's side are 18th, and truly stuck in the relegation mire.

Thus a Hammers loss could see them pulled into genuine trouble and, following a 4-1 thumping at the hands of Liverpool last weekend, they do not want to make a habit of adding losses on top of losses.

West Ham injuries

Manuel Lanzini returned against the Reds and, following a week of training, should be a healthier prospect against Swansea.

Patrice Evra suffered a gruesome shin injury on his debut against Liverpool but remains in contention to play in Wales.

Andy Carroll, Pedro Obiang and Edimilson Fernandes are all on the long-term injury list.

West Ham suspensions

Arthur Masuaku remains suspended after receiving a six-game ban for spitting.

West Ham team news

While Marko Arnautovic started up front against Liverpool, Javier Hernandez should start against Swansea, as he offers a more potent goal threat.

Arnautovic and Manuel Lanzini should provide support, though that would mean Joao Mario dropping to the bench.

Evra made his debut against the Reds and will likely continue at left-back, provided he recovers from his shin injury in time.

Substitute Michail Antonio scored the Hammers' only goal at Anfield, and could start this time around at the expense of Pablo Zabaleta.

Angel Rangel and Renato Sanches also remain sidelined with groin and hamstring injuries respectively. Andre Ayew will play against his former club.
