Valencia vs FC Barcelona: TV channel, live stream, squad news & preview

Barcelona will be aiming to end a miserable three-match streak without a win on Sunday when they travel to face Valencia at the Mestalla.

Both sides are returning from heavy Champions League action with the visitors completing a thrilling 4-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in midweek following a Lionel Messi masterclass, while Valencia deservedly earned a point against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

Valencia have endured a difficult start to the season having amassed eight points from seven games, while the defending La Liga champions have had to rely on goal difference to earn the top spot in the table ahead of Real Madrid.

Valencia languish in 14th place with just one win from their opening seven games when they host the Catalan giants on Sunday, though Barcelona haven't been on top form either – having lost once and drawn three games.

Valverde risked dropping points when he benched Messi in the draw to Athletic Club but his decision paid off when his side completed the 4-2 victory at Wembley on Wednesday, and he will return to his first-choice starting lineup to gain the edge over rivals Real Madrid.

He may decide to give summer signing Arthur a start against Valencia or opt with returning Ousmane Dembele to the starting lineup, who has already scored five goals this season.

The Brazilian arrival impressed at Wembley in midweek in his central midfield role, giving the opportunity for Philippe Coutinho to be deployed on the left flank to combine with Messi and Suarez.

Valencia face the difficult task in shutting out star striker Messi who shone for the Catalan team against Tottenham Hotspur, playing a vital role in two goals before scoring a brace himself.
