Ulinzi Stars trail guns on AFC Leopards in FKF Shield clash

Ulinzi Stars are looking forward to making amends in their final game of the season after the Soldiers surrendered the lead only to settle for a draw in the last game of the Kenyan Premier League season.

Ulinzi Stars dropped two crucial points in a 1-1 draw against Mathare United on the final day of the 2018 season, but Nyaudo says that the Soldiers will pick themselves up when they take on AFC Leopards in the FKF Shield second and third place playoff.

Ulinzi fell to Kariobangi Sharks in the semi-finals but Nyaudo says that there is a need to finish on a high when they face the 2017 Shield winners.

“I would have wished for a better ending to our league campaign but that is what we got. Now we will prepare for the Shield playoff and hope to end the season on a high,” he said after the Mathare game.

This will be the third time Ulinzi Stars, who finished in fourth place in the just-concluded campaign, will be meeting Ingwe.
