Simba could throw away League title despite lead - Masoud Djuma

The Msimbazi outfit have dropped twelve points all season, and look unassailable with just 12 matches left, but the assistant coach Masoud Djuma believes that nothing can yet be taken for granted.

Following the 2-2 away draw against Mwadui FC, Djuma said: “We tried to play, but made mistakes especially in defending set pieces. My defenders made too many mistakes which led my team to concede easy goals, but sometimes that happens,” he said, while also giving credit to the opponent.

“I think Mwadui played very well and you have to give credit. In football and in sport, anything can happen.  Of course, we can lose the title, because you never know what is going to happen next."

Djuma has now challenged his side to respond to a setback and come strongly in the remaining league matches.

“It is only a draw not defeat. You need to accept those situations and move on… our focus is on the next match. You have to be sure to win the next one and fight until the end to win the Premier League."

Djuma believes that his side is beginning to win the style battle in Tanzania.
