Patrick Ngwaogwu predicts tough time for Abia Warriors opponents

Abia Warriors’ Patrick Ngwaogwu has stated that they will be too hot to handle by other top-flight teams when the break is called off based on their performances in the test games played.

The Warriors have played 19 games and lost only once away to J Atete in Warri while winning an astonishing 16 fixtures and drawing just two.

The assistant coach opined that they have used the break to identify areas that had proved problematic during the first round of the league season and that having fished that out they are ready to atone for their miss chances when the league resumes.

“We have done a very good work during the break and I know that we are going to benefit from it when the season continues again after this break,” Ngwaogwu told Goal.

“I never knew we have played up to 19 games but here we are with such matches. We have done a good job and have made good use of the break to correct the lapses noticed that denied us points.

“We are not where we should be in the league table and it was due to some of these errors that we couldn’t control but we have been able to work on them. We are promising our remaining opponents a difficult time.

“There were games we should have won at home but we ended up losing two points. We lost those points due to some little mistakes. We have tried our best to correct them and we hope we utilize them when the season continues.”

Abia Warriors last known friendly game was a 2-1 away win against Akwa Starlets in Uyo and they are to do a review of the games they have played before determining what next to do.

They are eighth in the league table with 34 points from 24 games.
