Kaizer Chiefs defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele believes that their chances of PSL supremacy and annexing the Nedbank Cup crown this season are still within their grasp.
“We are still among the league title contenders and we are still in the Nedbank Cup contention, so I’m optimistic that we still have a chance to win something in this season,” Mphahlele told Vodacom Soccer.
The Soweto giants are yet to taste defeat since they went down 3-1 to Chippa United at the start of December 2016.
Chiefs are coming off a hard-fought 2-1 win over Mamelodi Sundowns in their last PSL clash last week Saturday which revived their league title aspirations.
“Look, this is my first season with Chiefs, and I cannot hide the fact that I would be a very happy man to win a silverware in my first season with the team,” he said.
