๐Ÿ”ฅ What a weekend!

Thatโ€™s it for GOALโ€™s coverage of another action-packed weekend across Europe.

Sunday did not disappoint after a goal glut 24 hours earlier, with there plenty of talking points to be found.

Antonio Conte has his first Premier League win as Spurs manager, Real Madrid sit on top of La Liga, Inter are very much in the Serie A title battle, while Manchester City wonโ€™t be giving up their crown in England without a fight.

There was also the small matter of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer being sacked by Manchester United.

Itโ€™s been another breathless one and we will be back for more of the same soon!

๐Ÿ—ฃ Conte making his mark

Antonio Conte has his first Premier League win as Tottenham manager and is eager to build from here, with a loyal fan base getting back on side in north London. The Italian has told Sky Sports on the back of a 2-1 victory over Leeds: "I am very pleased, in the second half we deserved to win, we created many chances to score.

"I said to my players this is a point to start. If we want to build on this.

"The feeling of the crowd depends on us. In the first half we didn't play well, we lost many tackles. Maybe to concede the goal in the last minute of the first half was good.

"At half-time the players showed me they could win this game.

"In the second half I corrected the situation. I look at the stats and Leeds are the best in the league for running. In the second half we beat them in intensity.

"We won the game, we deserved to win. We played attractive football and the crowd was with us.

"We have the confidence, it's a great feeling. We want to keep changing, we want to change everything."

History for Mertens

๐Ÿ˜• Tactical tweak puzzles Phillips

Marcelo Bielsa opted to play Kalvin Phillips as a centre-half against Spurs, with the Leeds midfielder unable to explain why that decision was taken. He has told Sky Sports: "To be honest I don't know why he did it. We wanted to be more defensive with their attacking threat. Me and Liam Cooper went man for man marking.

"It worked really well in the first half. But in the second half it's just a lack of concentration that hurt us.

"We needed a better game management. We were 1-0 up in the second half trying to push for a second goal. It's those moments you probably need to pump it long and soak up the pressure.

"We are missing some very good players in our team, some very important players. It's not an excuse, although we did come here and play some good football.

"I'm not one for panicking. The way we play football we'll eventually stack some more points on the board."

Reguilon registered his first Premier League goal as Tottenham edged out Leeds 2-1, with the Spanish full-back left beaming at the final whistle. He has told Sky Sports: "I am the most happy in the world. It's my first goal in the Premier League and we get three points. Now we continue.

"When we attack, I have to have the mentality of the striker, that's what the manager wants.

"Now, I feel dead, but I am also so happy as well.

"At half-time the gaffer told us to go man for man with extra effort. We gave it everything. This is the way now.

"Our mentality is like a big team. We get the three points."

Unlikely heroes for the hosts, but they got the job done and are now up to seventh in the table โ€“ four points adrift of the Champions League spots.

In general we controlled the game. We played the game we should play to beat teams like Everton."

He added on Raheem Sterling: "I know him quite well. Since I arrive he has been a key player for us. He has to perform like he performed today and I am happy for him. He did a great job."

It is determined that there was not enough contact on Sterling and the appeals are waved away completely.
