The Nnewi side held their hosts to a 0-0 draw and the ex-Ghana international, content with the outcome of the match, urges his players to remain consistent.
“We actually went to Umuahia with the mentality of picking an away win to make up for our home draw against Gombe United. We made some mistakes in the match which denied us the three points but overall the boys did well,” Preko told Goal.
“Our hosts didn’t make the tie any easier also and we must commend them for making the game very exciting. We shall go back home and look at what we have done wrong and right that will help us in our next game with Nasarawa United.
“The boys must still have to work on their consistency to ensure that we end the season very well. Had we produced half what we played against Abia Warriors in the last home game we won’t be talking about getting a draw.”
FC IfeanyiUbah are seventh in the league table on 47 points from 32 matches.
