DR Congo’s M'Poku scores winner in Standard Liege victory

Paul-Jose M’Poku scored the winner as Standard Liege came from a goal down to beat Genk 2-1 at the Stade Maurice Dufrasne in a Belgian top flight encounter.

Siebe Schrijvers opened the scoring for the away side nine minutes before the halftime interval. But just three minutes after the break, Edmilson Junior drew the hosts level.

And the DR Congo international completed the turnaround for the Liege based outfit in the 63rd minute to ensure they pick up their first win of the season.

Ricardo Sa Pinto’s side face off against Sint-Truiden at the Stayen Stadium on August 13.
