A rush of blood to the head led to Downs' third-choice keeper conceding a late penalty.However, Pieterse denied Mohamed Abdelrahman from the spot-kick - only to be beaten by Osman Mokhtar from the rebound having conceded his first goal after being let down by his defence. Apart from that, Pieterse made some important saves throughout the game and dealt well with aerial balls.

Reyaad Pieterse - 7/10

Returned to his natural position as a right-back and he produced his best performance thus far this term. Morena was a big menace down the right flank - sprinting forward with great energy and purpose while combining superbly with his teammates in the opposition's half.The Bafana Bafana international showed great composure in front of goal when he scored twice and he was also rock-solid defensively.

Thapelo Morena - 9/10

Given all sorts of headaches by Eid Mugadam.Lakay also looked sloppy in possession, but he was a threat to the hosts' from dead-ball situations and he forced goalkeeper Mohamed Abooja into making a good save from a free-kick.

Lyle Lakay - 6/10

Apart from conceding a foul which led to his dismissal Mandela played well. Mandela won his aerial duels and made vital interceptions, but he was correctly sent off after he tripped Mugadam, who was through on goal in the 11th minute.

Brian Mandela - 6/10

Had to step up after Mandela's dismissal and that is exactly what he did. De Reuck read the game really well and won a lot of headers when Al Hilal were going long, while also making well-timed tackles and clearances.

Rushine De Reuck - 7/10

Displayed his special long-range ability on the biggest stage in African club football. Mokoena also gave an action-packed display at both ends of the field - carrying the team forward and tracking back to help his side defend.

Teboho Mokoena 8/10

Captained the team in the absence of Denis Onyango and Mosa Lebusa. Jali helped Masandawana control proceedings in the middle of the park as he shielded his side's defence, but he looked exhausted in the second-half and he had to be substituted.

Andile Jali - 6/10

Couldn't stamp his authority&nbsp;in midfield.&nbsp; Domingo was not as involved in the game as his midfield partners, but he did play a few forward passes which unsettled the hosts' defence before being substituted.

Haashim Domingo - 6/10

Cannot stop scoring at the moment. It's now four goals in four consecutive games. Shalulile opened the scoring with a good finish and also displayed brilliant movement off the ball and dribbling ability with the ball throughout the game while operating as a mobile striker.

Peter Shalulile - 8/10

Very good with linkups which saw him set up Peter Shalulile for the opening goal. However, Zwane was sacrificed after Mandela's red card as he was substituted just 16 minutes into the game.

Themba Zwane- 7/10

Gave decent support to his fellow attackers by drifting to the right-wing. Kapinga's delivery from the right was top notch and he provided the assist for Morena's first goal, before being substituted&nbsp;just after&nbsp;the hour-mark.

Lesedi Kapinga - 6/10

Came on in the first-half as he replaced Zwane. Kekana could have done better for Al Hilal's first goal, but he was otherwise good as he covered really well for the full-backs in both the first and second half.

Grant Kekana - 6/10

Introduced in the 62nd minute and he looked to keep things simple, but he lost possession in his own half only to be rescued by Mokoena.

Lebohang Maboe - 5/10

His speed created problems for a tired-looking Al Hilal defence and he provided the assist for Downs' fourth goal having been introduced in the 62nd minute.

Neo Maema - 6/10

Came on in the 73rd minute and he had a few touches of the ball with the hosts doing most of the attacking in the closing stages.

Bradley Ralani - 5/10

Also came on with 23 minutes left and he spent most of his time in Downs' half but didn't offer much going forward.

Sibusiso Vilakazi - 5/10
