Players will be targeting the award for the best footballer in the local top-flight in the upcoming campaign

The 2022-23 PSL season will start on Friday with a clash between defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns and Cape Town City taking place in the Mother City.

Several top accolades will be up for grabs in what will be the 27th PSL campaign since the local top-flight was established in 1996.

Most players will be eyeing Peter Shalulile's Player of the Season accolade with the 28-year-old having clinched the award last term.
