Injured Gor Mahia defender Wellington Ochieng set to start therapy session

Gor Mahia defender Wellington Ochieng is set to start a therapy session on the knee injury he picked up in March.

Ochieng suffered a minor fracture on his ankle during a league match against Bandari in Machakos on March 4, a setback that has seen him miss three crucial Caf assignments with the reigning Kenyan champions.

According to the latest update from the club, Ochieng is progressing well with the recovery process and is set to start his therapies under the very strict supervision of his doctor.

“I am recovering well and my doctor is happy with the progress so far. I have one pending medical checkup before I can start my therapies.”

Despite being confined to the wheelchair for the past couple of weeks, Ochieng has been following the progress of the team and has tipped K’Ogalo to do well in the Caf Confederation Cup group stages.

“We are in the group stage because we deserve it and the aim is to make it big."
