Gor Mahia shortlist two coaches for vacant job

Gor Mahia FC has shortlisted two tacticians for the head coach role at the club, Goal can reveal.

The Executive Committee met to get the way forward and they have settled to sign a coach from abroad to take the position of Brazilian Ze Maria, who left last month. Club's deputy Secretary General Ronald Ngala says the new coach could be unveiled on Friday.

"We have settled for two coaches, Dylan Kerr and Maccoppi Stefano. They are the most experienced with a proven track record, and we feel they will help us meet our objectives. It was a tough exercise but I am happy it is coming to the end, we will communicate with them and announce the one we have settled on."

Kerr is Chesterfield FC Academy coach and has played for Sheffield Wednesday, Doncaster, Leeds, Burnley among other clubs. He was Tanzania's Simba SC coach during the 2015/16 season.

Maccoppi has playued for Bari and Piacenza and he has managed clubs like Sampdoria, Spezia and Sion.
