Gor Mahia head coach Ze Maria could lose his job if the club falls to AFC Leopards on Sunday

Gor Mahia will be using their Kenyan Premier League match against AFC Leopards to gauge their head coach Ze Maria with a sack at stake.

The Brazilian, who joined K’Ogalo last year but failed to win the league title, has taken the club to the second position on the 18-team table from this season’s eight matches.

However, the club’s Organizing Secretary Judith ‘Nyangi’ Anyango seems not to be convinced with the performance which has seen them lose two matches. She has asserted that Ze Maria must win the much-anticipated match against AFC Leopards on Sunday failure to which he risks losing his job.

"A coach is not a coach without winning a derby. Our coach has to prove to us why he deserves Gor Mahia’s loyalty," she said in a local television interview.

The match will be played at Nyayo Stadium, kick-off time 3:00pm.
