Serge Gnabry has refused to rule out a return to Premier League football just five months after departing English shores for Werder Bremen.

He also has seven goals for Bremen this season, with speculation suggesting that he may not be with his current employers for long.

Gnabry insists he is not giving any thought to another move, but concedes that anything is possible and that a second shot at the English top-flight could present itself at some stage.

Ozil: i'm very comfortable in London

He told Bild: "For my future, I've decided to focus on how I play now and today. That's why I'm trying to concentrate on the now.

"As of today, I do not intend to change in the summer. But what happens in the future depends on my performance.

“What if Chelsea or Arsenal come knocking? Well, at the moment I'm trying to give everything to Werder."

While Gnabry is giving little thought to an exit, he admits he would welcome the arrival of a familiar face at Bremen.

Per Mertesacker has been linked with a return to the club towards the end of his playing days, with his contract at Arsenal running down.
