The fourth matchday of the 2018 Malaysia Cup took place last weekend, with Terengganu FC becoming the first team to secure their place in the quarter-final stage.

Group A

Terengganu FC on Saturday booked their spot in the quarter-finals, after defeating Felcra FC in Cheras. The Rivals were the first to score in the game through David Laly's third minute header, but it was all the Turtles after that. Tchetche Kipre netted the equaliser in the 17th minute, before Lee Tuck helped them bag the three points through his hat-trick, scored in the 22nd, 60th (p) and 79th minutes.

Group B

Melaka United recorded their first win in the campaign in stunning fashion, after trouncing PDRM 6-1. Although the match was held at the Hang Jebat Stadium, the Mousedeers were the visitors in this match, as they are sharing the ground with the Cops for the competition. The visitors opened the scoring in the 11th minute through a penalty by Ifedayo Omosuyi, but Syahrul Azwari Ibrahim stole the show with his two stunning goals; in the 13th and 45th minutes. His first was a volley taken from the edge of the penalty box, while his second was an on-the-run shot from outside the box that sailed into the top far corner. The hosts then went down to nine men in the space of three minutes, after Hazwan Fakhrullah Zuridi were shown his second yellow card in the 48th minute, and Khairul Izuan Abdullah was shown a straight red in the 51st minute for fouling Yahor Zubovich as the last man. The ensuing free kick was put away by Shahdan Sulaiman, whose attempt sailed around the wall and into the top corner. Zubovich himself then compounded PDRM's misery, scoring in the 59th and 69th minutes to make it six. But the Cops managed to bag a consolation goal five minutes from time, yet another brilliant goal, this time from Nabil Latpi.

Group C

Debutants MISC-MIFA kept their qualification hopes alive, topping Group C after holding Kedah to a 2-2 draw at home despite playing with 10 men for half of the match. Sandro da Silva opened the scoring in the 31st minute, a beatiful free kick into the far corner. Just as the referee blew the halftime whistle, Kipah Sherman made a reckless, studs-up tackle on Liridon Krasniqi, and the MISC star was shown a red card for the foul. Despite this, L'Imam Seydi found the equaliser for the hosts six minutes into the second half; an outrageous, looping header that travelled across the goalmouth, over the goalkeeper, the man guarding the far post, under the crossbar, and into the back of the net. The visitors however found the lead again just four minutes later, through Halim Saari's header, but the underdogs would not be denied. 10 minutes from time, from another corner kick from the left, R. Barath Kumar snuck in between Kedah defenders to nod in Bae Beom-geun's delivery and tie the game.
