The Colombian headed home a second goal eight minutes later and Madrid were off and running, with the second strike giving James a high mark of his own.

The 25-year-old, despite not being considered first-choice for Los Blancos, has been involved with 23 goals this season, the most among any midfielder in La Liga.

Alvaro Morata added two goals before half-time and Real ran out to a 4-0 win.
