ISL: Kerala Blasters announce Slavisa Stojanovic signing

Indian Super League (ISL) outfit Kerala Blasters have bolstered their attack after signing Serbian forward Slavisa Stojanovic.

The club announced the signing of the 29-year-old striker on Saturday as they prepare for the upcoming season of the ISL.

Slavisa Stojanovic has predominantly spent his career in Serbia and has only one spell outside of his home country, at Israeli outfit Hapoel Kfar Saba during the 2016-17 season.

He last turned out for Serbian SuperLiga outfit FK Radnicki Nis, for whom he scored 10 goals in 31 appearances in the 2017-18 season.

The 5'10" forward will be expected to bring in goals for the Blasters who had struggled to find them in the previous season. The David James-coached outfit finished sixth and had only 20 goals to show for in 18 games despite the presence of stellar names like Iain Hume and Dimitar Berbatov in attack.

The fans will be hoping Stojanovic's signing will address those concerns.
