The new version of FIFA 18 promises to be the biggest edition yet, with EA Sports confirming the addition of Germany's 3. Liga for the first time in the series' history.

Karlsruher and Wurzburger Kickers were both relegated from the 2. Bundesliga last season, but fans of those teams can still use their favourite players in game. Recently promoted Carl Zeiss Jena, SV Meppen and SpVgg Unterhaching will all be playable in this year's edition of the game, which comes out for Playstation 4, XBox One and PC in September.

As well as the addition of the 3. Liga, Czech First League side Sparta Prague will also be playable as a Rest of the World club in FIFA 18. It is the first time in seven years that Sparta Prague will appear in the game, and the club's marketing director Tomas Krivda is delighted with the news.

"We are very pleased to reach agreement with EA SPORTS, and it is so exciting that the club will be appearing in the legendary video game," Krivda said.

"The negotiations were very smooth, so Sparta fans will be able to play with their team in September. And each of our supporters will be able to play the game wearing the team's red shirt."
