According to journalists <a href="https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1792596090253938735" target="_blank">Fabrizio Romano</a> and <a href="https://x.com/cfbayern/status/1792598438451806275" target="_blank">Christian Falk</a>, Bayern Munich have internally discussed the possibility of appointing Vincent Kompany as their next manager despite Burnley being relegated to the Championship after spending just one season back in the top flight. Kompany reportedly fits the profile that the Bavarian club are looking for as their long search for Tuchel's successor continues.

Romano further claimed that several other clubs in the Premier League as well as across Europe have set their eyes on the ex-Manchester City captain. Bayern, who finished third in the Bundesliga this season, are yet to finalise a new manager. The club have already faced rejections from <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/xabi-alonso-decision-rejects-bayern-munich-liverpool-bayer-leverkusen-stay/blt3f58b772b9b209a9" target="_blank">Xabi Alonso</a>, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/bayern-munich-julian-nagelsmann-germany-contract-decision-harry-kane/blt0be30599e6a2d231" target="_blank">Julien Nagelsmann</a> and Ralf Rangnick and have also been linked with managers including Roger Schmidt, Hansi Flick, Zinedine Zidane and Jose Mourinho.
