At that point, the club and I will discuss it. Assessments must be made at the end of the season even if results in Europe were worse than last term. We still have the league, where we can do much better than last season.”

WHAT PIOLI SAID

Milan’s next game is another big one, as they prepare to take in a derby date with old adversaries Inter, and Pioli is eager to keep collective focus locked on that fixture. He added, amid the intense speculation surrounding his future: “We must change many things in the derby. If we play as we did [against Roma], we’ll surely have no chances. I think the guys are aware of it.”

Milan remain second in the Serie A table for now, but are 14 points back on runaway leaders Inter.
