Former Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana star Gavin Lane has launched a scathing critique of the current coaching landscape in the Betway Premiership. The man affectionately known as the "Stability Unit" believes the rapid turnover of managers in South African football has reached a point of absurdity.

The Glamour Boys defender has opened up on his deep-rooted connection to the club as he prepares for a significant reunion with Stellenbosch FC. The 27-year-old centre-back, who joined the Soweto giants as a free agent, is determined to cement his place in Fernando Da Cruz’s starting XI while eyeing a return to the international stage.

The Amakhosi head coach has admitted he is uncertain whether his squad currently possesses the consistency required to overhaul their title rivals at the summit of the Betway Premiership. Despite an encouraging start to the campaign that sees The Glamour Boys remain undefeated, the French tactician is wary of the gap that still exists between his rebuilding project and the established heavyweights of South African football.

Columnist Lerato Mkhondo says The Glamour Boys need to start acting like the giants they are even if they have to draw some inspiration from their Big Three rivals to give their supporters something to celebrate.
