Manchester United had reportedly "put €30 million (£26m/$35m) on the table" to sign Brazilian goalkeeper Kaua Santos in the summer before landing Belgian star Senne Lammens. The club had been tracking the 23-year-old for over a year and even reignited talks late in the window. But Frankfurt stood firm.
