South Africa are among the teams that have sealed their World Cup ticket thanks to their healthy win over Amavubi in the midweek outing, coupled with the Super Eagles' victory over the Cheetahs in Uyo. This is the first time since 2010 that Mzansi will be rubbing shoulders with the best in the global competition to be played next year.

South Africa beat Rwanda 3-0 on Tuesday night at Mbombela Stadium to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be co-hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada. 

However, Bafana Bafana needed help from Nigeria, who managed to claim a 4-0 win over Benin, who needed a win of any kind to top the group. 

It was a massive win for Mzansi, who had to give their best after they were docked three points for fielding suspended Teboho Mokoena against Lesotho in March.
