    Safa President Danny Jordaan was arrested, charged with fraud and alleged theft of R1.3 million from the federation.

    The veteran administrator was arraigned at the Specialised Commercial Crime Court in Palm Ridge on Wednesday.

    WHAT NEXT?

    Jordaan was hoping to run for a fourth term as Safa President, but recent events will likely derail those ambitions.

    Despite the speed with which he was arraigned, commercial crime cases are often drawn out affairs as legal teams fight over administrative details to prove guilt, or innocence.

    It will likely be months, if not years until a verdict is given.
