Clinton Larsen has stepped down as Magesi coach following the 3-0 Carling Cup defeat to the All-Stars team.
The 53-year-old quits amid an eventful season in which he beat traditional giants Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns to lift the Carling Knockout.
But Magesi have been enduring contrasting fortunes that have left them at the foot of the Premier Soccer League table having not won their last six league games.

“And yeah, I just want to thank the players once again for their efforts, I thought they always give their all," Larsen told SuperSport TV.
" They make a lot of mistakes in the process, but they give their all. It was my last game as the Magesi coach today. I’m bidding farewell to the club after two years of promoting the team or helping promote the team with my technical team, as well as winning a trophy.
“Two moments I’m very proud of and I want to wish the club everything of the best moving forward. The chairman for giving me the opportunity to lead this project for two years, to the management, to my technical team, and especially to my players," added the former Pirates star.
“I know a lot of them are going to miss me. Over two years, you forge strong bonds with certain individuals and I want to wish them everything of the best moving forward. They deserve it.
“It’s an opportunity for the club to bring in fresh leadership, fresh voice, fresh energy, and fresh footballing ideas, and hopefully, that will be enough to take them to greater heights in the league.”

GOALTHE BIGGER PICTURE
Larsen becomes the sixth PSL coach to fall by the wayside this season before the season reaches the halfway mark.
The former Golden Arrows and Polokwane City mentor is the second PSL coach to resign live on TV this season after Sead Ramovic who dumped TS Galaxy last month.
It is a term the likes of Marumo Gallants' Dan Malesela and his Royal AM counterpart John Maduka could be confirmed as the latest exits.
Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi, known for not staying long in his jobs, is also a trainer being monitored by fans.

WHAT NEXT FOR LARSEN & MAGESI?
It is to be seen if Larsen will depart with his assistant Papi Zothwane, a former Mamelodi Sundowns player.
The incoming Magesi head coach will have a big task to lift them from the bottom of the table and save the Limpopo outfit from relegation.
