    Nabi situation exciting Pirates

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that they are in discussion with coach Nasreddine Nabi amid reports that the Tunisian is leaving the club.

Nabi has been with the Soweto giants for just over a season but is said to be on his way out of the club as Chiefs announced that he did not travel to Angola for Saturday's CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round, first leg clash with Kabuscorp.

The situation around the former Young Africans coach has been made a subject of comedy by Sowetan rivals Orlando Pirates, who have released an animated clip mocking Chiefs.

    Bobby sparked Pirates' jibe

Pirates' video is laden with mischief and the context is drawn from last season's video when Amakhosi football manager Bobby Motaung was seen defending Nabi when Chiefs were struggling for results.

Motaung's stance was a show of faith in Nabi, but a few months down the line, the Tunisian coach is on his way out.

The Amakhosi football manager was graphically describing the type of coach his team needs and Pirates have found humour to poke their rivals.

“That's how it is, this thing needs balls [translated from isiZulu]],” Motaung is heard saying in the initial video.

    What next?

Chiefs will be hoping to beat Kabuscorp on Saturday and send a message to Pirates that they are coping without Nabi.

On the same day, the Buccaneers face Lesotho champions Lioli in the CAF Champions League preliminary round, first leg match at Free State Stadium.
