VIDEO: Orlando Pirates' Mofokeng scores for Chiefs to extend their unbeaten start to the top-flight season as youngster impresses with scoring ability

The winger has been excellent in the top-tier after getting a grrenlight to extend his deal with the current team. The attacker is just among the many talents that have been coming out of the Bucs feeder club.

    For the last couple of years, Orlando Pirates have produced top-class youngsters from their academy.

    Relebohile Mofokeng, Mbekezeli Mbokazi, and Mohau are the beneficiaries of that tradition.

    Nkota has already left the club after an impressive individual campaign last season, while Mbokazi was voted as one of the vice captains going into the new season.  

    All the aforementioned youngsters are starters at Bafana Bafana.

    Who is Mofokeng?

    Tefo 'Chippa' Mofokeng was signed by Botswana Premier League side Mochudi Centre Chiefs after his impressive showings for Bucs' junior side Pele Pele FC, who are competing in the ABC Motsepe League, Gauteng Division. 

    The youngster was loaned to get more experience in the top-flight football since that would not have been possible in the Premier Soccer League.  

    His good showings were rewarded with an extension from the Chiefs side until the end of the 2025/26 season.

    How Mofokeng should force his way back to Bucs

    Chiefs have so far played four matches in the league, recording two wins and as many draws, which puts them fourth in the league.

    Bucs do not shy away from giving deserving youngsters a chance once they have proven their qualities and worth, and Mofokeng might be another youngster straight from the Sea Robbers' oven.
