    WHAT HAPPENED?

Kaizer Chiefs are said to be after the Simba SC duo of forward Kibu Denis and midfielder Jean Charles Ahoua.

The players are currently under the tutelage of former Orlando Pirates coach Fadlu Davids, and Stellenbosch goalkeeper Lee Langeveldt has a close appreciation of the two after they faced them in the Caf Confederation Cup last season.

    WHAT LANGEVELDT SAID

"A couple of good players, I think Fadlu did a good job also with the team," said Langeveldt as per Soccer Laduma.

"They have a good team, you can see what they try to do, the system they want to play is structured.

"I felt we were a bit unlucky with the away goal. But we will learn from it, hopefully next season we can do better."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Chiefs have made Tanzania a hunting ground for talent besides chasing Denis and Ahoua.

Coach Nasreddine Nabi was recently in the East African nation, reportedly trying to convince Azam midfielder Feisal Salum to come to Naturena.

That leaves Amakhosi fans to judge if the players are of enough quality to help the club challenge for the Premier Soccer League title and end Mamelodi Sundowns' dominance.

    WHAT NEXT FOR CHIEFS?

It remains to be seen if the Soweto giants will be able to sign most of their transfer targets this off-season.

They are also said to have eyes in Europe where Slovakian striker Robert Polievka is said to be in the plans of Nabi.
